After three years of battling the well-financed pharmaceutical industry, WCA celebrated a major victory with the passage of legislation that provides low- and moderate-income seniors and people with disabilities access to lower cost prescription drugs. The bill also directs the state to pool its prescription drug purchases, a strategy that will result in substantial savings for state health care programs.
