In 2005, the Idaho Community Action Network organized its members, especially farmworkers, to win implementation of policies ensuring appropriate translation and interpretation and enforcement of charity care obligations at West Valley Medical in Canyon County. [more]
Repeal Idaho´s Automatic Lien Law.
Idaho´s counties provide assistance for hospital and other medical bills - but recipients are forced to jeopardize their homes and economic security due to an automatic lien provision in the indigency fund law. ICAN is fighting for repeal.
Negotiating Free Care Agreements.
