PRESCRIPTION DRUGS In May 2004, Montana Governor Judy Martz announced that the state will join a multi-state prescription drug purchasing pool for Medicaid. Montana People’s Action had long been calling for the state to use this tool for negotiating more reasonable prices from drug manufacturers. MPA is now fighting for the anticipated $5 million in savings to be reinvested in Montana’s Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program. |
